Sinopse:
Entre 2008 e 2009, um grupo de jovens ricos entrou para a história por assaltar mansões de grandes celebridades como Paris Hilton, Megan Fox, Lindsay Lohan e Orlando Bloom. Conhecidos como a gangue Bling Ring, os jovens, obcecados por fama, chegaram a roubar mais de 3 milhões de dólares. O documentário mostra o ponto de vista dos jovens que já cumpriram pena pelos crimes cometidos. Além disso, Bling Ring: A História por Trás dos Roubos também aborda os perigos da exposição de celebridades causada pela mídia e redes sociais.

1 - The Fame Game
Los Angeles, 2008, in the land of fame, excess and reality TV, teenagers Alexis Neiers, Nick Prugo and Rachel Lee try to make a name for themselves by hatching a foolproof plan to burgle Paris Hilton.

Just as CCTV footage of the Hollywood Hills burglars began to circulate the gossip blogs. Meanwhile, as Alexis and her family found themselves on the brink of reality TV fame her drug addiction led Alexis to become increasingly intertwined with Nick.
3 - Fame and Misfortune
The concluding part reveals how the Bling Rings crimes eventually caught up with them, thrusting them into the centre of a high-profile court case. But the defendants were not the only ones benefiting from the spotlight.
