1 - A World Without Books

Motosu Urano, a college student and a bookworm of the highest order, loses her life in an avalanche of books and wakes up in another world as a sickly girl named Main. Nevertheless confident that she can deal with any situation as long as she has books to read, she looks all over her new home for one, but doesnt find any. To make matters worse, she couldnt see any writing in town when out with her mother Eva. She realized that she found herself in a world with a low literacy rate, one where books were prohibitively expensive.

2 - Life Improvements and Slates

Having learned how expensive books are in this world, Main resolves to make books of her own. However, she soon finds out just how frail her new body is when she and her elder sister, Turi, decide to go to the gate to deliver something their father forgot—she can hardly take a few steps before running out of breath. But thats when Lutz, a neighborhood kid the same age as Main, offers his help. Main is touched by this and soon makes it to the gate. There, Otto gives her his old slate, letting her experience the joy of writing once again

3 - The Events of Winter

While everyone is snowed in by the harsh winter, Main has a plan: a plan to craft pseudo-papyrus as the first step towards making a book. Meanwhile, Eva teaches Turi a bunch of skills in order to prepare her for her upcoming baptism in the summer. Main is told to think about where she wants to apprentice, but as always, books are the only thing on her mind. As winter rolls on, however, the family bonds and grows closer together, and Main hits upon the perfect gift to give Turi to wear on her baptism day.

4 - Forests and Clay Tablets

Spring has arrived, and Main is raring to go make clay tablets in the forest. But first, she must convince her family that she can handle the journey.

5 - Baptisms and Strange Fevers

The season has shifted to summer, and the day of Turis baptism has arrived. Turi attracts attention with a hair ornament made by Main. Main, who has more opportunities to go to the forest, starts making wooden tablets with the help of Lutz. Meanwhile, Lutz asks Main Lutz to let him meet Otto. Lutz had a dream of becoming a traveling merchant. However, Main, shocked by her repeated failures at making paper, collapses from a high fever before the meeting with Otto.

6 - Meeting

Lutz and Main prepare for the meeting with Otto. But Otto brings someone with him, turning a casual meeting into an interview that will decide both Lutz and Mains futures.

7 - Seeds of Suspicion

With the paper-making process about to begin, Main cant hide her excitement as she and Lutz go to meet Benno as per his invitation. He reveals that he is willing to arrange for all the equipment and materials they need to make paper, but the ensuing conversation makes Lutz see Main in a very different light.

8 - Lutz's Main

As Main and Lutz begin making their paper for real, Mains excitement gets the better of her, and Lutzs suspicions come to a head. He resolves to talk to her about it after the paper is finished.

9 - The Guild Master's Granddaughter

Benno looks to have Main and Lutz registered with the Merchant Guild, but the guild master proves to be an obstacle. This results in them making plans to meet Frieda, his granddaughter.

10 - To the Second Winter

Main learns from Frieda that the illness she has is called the Devouring, and that it will flare up if she ever feels anxiety or loses hope. Almost on cue, her fever starts acting up...

11 - Life-or-Death Choices and Family Meetings

With Main collapses, everyone she knows comes together in a bid to save her life. But soon, she is faced with a life-or-death decision, one that she must discuss with her family.

12 - Baptism and Divine Paradises

The day of Main and Lutzs baptism has arrived. Wearing a fancy dress and a new hair ornament, Main appears a clear standout from the rest of the kids, but soon she loses her way and finds herself in what she sees as heaven on earth.

13 - The Choice To Be an Apprentice Priestess

When Main brings up wanting to become an apprentice priestess to her family, she learns the truth about the role and what it entails and soon comes to realize that she is in for the fight of her life.

14 - Conclusions

Main, Gunther, and Eva head to the cathedral for their fateful meeting, knowing that Mains life is riding on a successful negotiation. But will things really go so smoothly for them?

Myne começa os preparativos para ficar na catedral durante o inverno. Seus livros ilustrados começam a ser vendidos entre a nobreza, chamando a atenção de outras guildas. Johann, o ferreiro, pede a Myne que seja sua patrona para que ele possa se sagrar profissional do ramo - e Myne aproveita a oportunidade para encomendar algo que sempre quis ter.

28 - Sobre a Estadia de Inverno e o Futuro

Com todos os perigos que cercam Myne, a aprendiz de sacerdotisa é obrigada a permanecer na catedral pela duração do inverno. Mas nem mesmo as visitas regulares de seus parentes e amigos são o bastante para aplacar sua solidão e tristeza. Quando Benno visita a catedral para discutir sérios assuntos com o sacerdote-chefe, Myne fica ciente da magnitude das ameaças que a perseguem, e uma proposta surpreendente é colocada na mesa.

29 - A Cerimônia de Dedicação e a Chegada da Primavera

Damuel passa a atuar como guarda-costas da Myne, e logo se enturma com todos os outros servos da aprendiz. Myne recebe os tipos de impressão que havia encomendado, e começa a planejar a construção de uma prensa tipográfica para utilizá-los. A Cerimônia de Dedicação ocorre sem incidentes, mas Ferdinand começa a suspeitar de jogo sujo por trás dos panos.

30 - A Oração de Primavera

Para realizar a Oração de Primavera, Myne e Ferdinand viajam com cavaleiros e servos a tiracolo por várias cidades rurais, abençoando o início de uma nova época de plantação e distribuindo cálices cheios de mana para os nobres. No entanto, essa longa viagem representa um perigo para a pequena aprendiz de sacerdotisa, agora que nobres estão de olho em seu poder mágico e vão fazer de tudo para colocar as mãos nele.

31 - O Presente do Robes Azuis e a Volta pra Casa

Myne guia Sylvester e Ferdinand em uma visita ao orfanato, à sua oficina e à floresta onde as crianças colhem material. Ambos os sacerdotes de robes azuis ficam espantados com a engenhosidade da menina, o que desperta sérias preocupações no sacerdote-chefe. Ao final da visita, Myne consegue permissão para visitar sua família novamente, e chega bem a tempo de uma ocasião muito auspiciosa.

32 - A Criança Abandonada na Catedral e Misturando Cores

Um bebê é abandonado na catedral e acolhido pelo orfanato, mas nem Myne nem seus sacerdotes de robes cinzas sabem muito bem como cuidar dele, exigindo a cooperação da equipe inteira para lidar com a situação. Enquanto isso, Benno e Myne negociam as condições para comercialização das tintas de papel vegetal, e a jovem aprendiz de sacerdotisa começa um novo processo para a criação de tintas coloridas - tudo com a intenção de criar livros ilustrados em cores para seu pequeno irmãozinho Kamil.

33 - Delia e Dirk

O orfanato de Myne acolhe um novo bebê, que é então batizado de Dirk. Embora resistente a princípio, Delia acaba se apegando ao infante e passa a cuidar dela como um irmão mais novo. Enquanto isso, Ferdinand conta a Myne que a criança sofre da Consumação, e discute o que fazer com ela.

34 - Desdobramentos Tenebrosos

Graças à descoberta dos agentes de fixação, Myne avança na produção de tintas coloridas, mas seus problemas estão longe de acabar - e a pequena aprendiz de sacerdotisa ainda terá de lidar com as intrigas políticas envolvendo o pequeno Dirk e seu enorme potencial mágico, os incidentes diplomáticos nos portões e as traições inesperadas.

35 - O Amuleto Negro

Myne e Turi são raptadas por agentes inimigos, mas seu pai surge para resgatá-las. Na catedral, Ferdinand some misteriosamente e um conluio maligno entre o sumo-sacerdote e um nobre de outro domínio é realizado.

36 - Benção

Para proteger sua família, Myne concorda em ser adotada por Sylvester. É ele quem entra na catedral com Sir Karstedt justamente no momento em que Ferdinand e Sir Bindewald estão envolvidos em uma briga, mas todo esse caso não terá consequências apenas para Myne, porque agora o Conde Bindewald, o bispo e Delia têm que responder por suas ações.
